Scholars’ satisfaction using resources and services in academic library

Abstract


This study aims to discover the satisfaction level of research scholars with resources and services in academic library. Also, the usage of online scientific databases has been studied in the survey. The survey method was selected for data collection through a questionnaire. Pre-structured questionnaires were distributed among research scholars in the University of Mysore. The result shows that most of the research scholars are satisfied with the Internet access, access to the databases, and library facilities in the University of Mysore. Moreover, usage of the different online databases reveals that only 1.1 percent of the respondents used ten databases, 24.4 percent of them used five online databases and 13.3 percent of them only used one database.
